I know the way a piano should sound
Nov. 22nd, 2006 03:56 pmOkay, okay! Geez, Ruty.
So I've done nothing of consequence for the past week or so, and until today, this post would have been another one of those "I'm miserable, I hate everything, I'm lonely" posts. And nobody wants to hear that.
But.
Today, I got woken by a phone call from someone asking me to come to Thanksgiving tomorrow, so I will be eating a real meal with a real family instead of watching Babylon 5 while eating leftover stirfry. (The latter is actually a lot of fun--I think that will be tonight's dinner. But still . . . nice not to be alone on Thanksgiving.)
I also finally got my key to the Sage pipe organ on Monday, so I went and played today. I'm still coming down from the high. It was so wonderful to play again--I was there for almost two hours and didn't even notice. When I left the bench, my hands were shaking. This was exactly what I needed.
