I got a art school girlfriend, yeah
Apr. 9th, 2003 04:25 pmThe symphony was super, as always. I'm not fond of Rach 3, but I liked the Saint-Saens.
I painted my fingernails, and now they're all purple and glittery.
A good Spanish proverb: De sopa y amor, la primera es mejor. (The irony is that I don't even like soup.)
I had a really, really good practice session with my Beethoven. I think I might actually be able to learn it in time for juries, which would rock. I love this piece of music--the twenty-second sonata, Op. 54. It's SO cool. And Dr. Pickett, the head of the music department, ordered me two recordings of it. (Well, she ordered them for the library. But she did it because I asked.) So now I love Dr. Pickett, and I get to listen to Brendel play. Sheer bliss.
I have a history paper due tomorrow. I don't know what I'm writing on yet. This could be a problem.
I can't believe there's not a "musical" lemon. As Will would say, uggaBAH?

one of my favorites...
Date: 2003-04-09 07:59 pm (UTC)Hahahahahaha, that proverb rocks my world. Maybe you haven't had good enough soup yet.
I love you a lot. If I come home, it will be partly for you.
I miss piano. I sat down today after dinner to plunck away at it...play out of someone's books...Chopin Nocturnes, Beethoven Sonatas...I'm horrible. Probably slightly better than I am at trumpet, but that's really not saying a lot. I SOOO want to take piano here, and have an excuse to play and sound horrible but get better. If I come home this summer I can take classes at the UI, piano, etc. Probably not physics. Maybe Spanish/French. I'm so proud of you, Mary, and I like you so much. I think I'm just really glad I know you.
Mmm, psych calls...oh, by the way, my section leader rocks and he e-mailed me about a study this week that he's leading where I can make $50, just because I'm in his section. I've known the guy all of two hours and he gets me fifty bucks! How cool is that?
MWA!!

Awesome. I wish I had section leaders like that. I am SOOO broke. I had to turn in my time slip today... yeah, I'm going to make like $30. Whoopdee.
I love you, too. I don't think we've hung out enough in the past... um... 7 years?
*muchos besos*
