We have LAUNDRY! This is so exciting! First, we had no dryer. Then, we had no washer. Now we have both, and it is GOOD.
In other news, Greek is going to kick my ass up one side and down the other. I have learned the word for "farmer." Also the word for endless.
Music theory is fun, and I've decided that I really like my fellow students.
Music history is right up my alley. I lurve teh Thompson.
And Kyra, in her infinite wisdom, has decreed that we will only meet once a week.
I have a an excellent crop of professors this go round.

I miss you guys! (he says uncharacteristically) I've missed YOU on two separate occasions.

What are you doing this semester, anyway? I haven't even run in to you during all the time I spend in Maxey and Olin!

Oh, Hey!

I presume this is Ruty?

Well, for starters I'm living in the Global House and if you don't see me it's because I have 4 classes, two of which are night classes, which means I only have one class during the day per day. You'll be lucky if you can catch me in Olin around 11 or 1 (Maxey has all the night classes).

I need to stop by and visit sometime. I ran into Clark and saw his new digs. BTW I missed you guys at coffeehouse tonight (I saw you but not visa versa I guess).

Given your current location, farmer is probably a good word to know. If you get a chance, go watch the sun set in the wheat fields for me. Adelaide's sunsets may be pretty, but the Walla Walla ones are really pretty (or maybe it's just a grass is always greener thing...)

Glad to hear you lurve the Thompson. When you find out what the Bode-Thompson has going on for Chorale this season, would you let me know?

Lastly, aren't classes that meet just once a week a beautiful thing?

The sunsets of Walla Walla are exceptionally beautiful this time of year because of the harvesting.

I've only had one class ever that met only once a week and it was "Conversational Sanskrit". I shall say no more.

Chorale starts next Wednesday; I'll let you know. I saw a note in Betty's office about "100 copies of Carmina Burana" today, so it looks like that's on. I don't know if it's this semester, though, as it seems like it would be a bit late to be ordering.

You know, I really like the Carmina Burana, even though my mother always says that it is way too overdone. There are some things I think it is okay to over-do. But maybe that's just me.

I remember hearing something about a rendition of Carmina Burana involving at least the Chorale and the Wind Ensemble, and probably the Orchestra--but I don't know if it's this semester or next. It will definitely be this year, however. I wish I was there to participate!

Mary, when did I last tell you I love you? Because I do. No, really, I do.

Endless farming...???

I'm lonely--I'm living in a building for 90 people and there's only one other person there. :(

What I actually meant to post was about laundry. I've decided that in college, someone must always want to do their laundry at exactly the same time you do. Yesterday the two of us in the entire building still ended up fighting over use of the washers. Sigh.
