Ah, Moscow. Land of perpetual semi-boredom. I think I'd be fine if I was in school here--I'd have plenty to do. It's just my innate laziness rising to the fore.
I went to the Needle Nook today for a pattern consultation . . . and they were having a sale. I am poorer but happier as I contemplate my spoils. Fortunately, "but it was on sale" has always been a legitimate excuse in my household.
So it turns out that I need to take the GRE on the 11th of August. Otherwise, I'd have to drive to Spokane. I think I'll just go ahead and do it--the practice I took was just like the SATs, and I was fine there.
I don't WANNA have my wisdom teeth out! I need all the wisdom I can get.

Do you know what the Deadlines are for the GRE? I'd look it up but I'm supposed to be doing homework right now.

There isn't a standard date like the SATs; you just have to take them when the nearest testing center is offering. In my case, that would be the 10th and 11th of August. Here's the website: www.gre.org.

getting the wisdom teeth out means you're making room for more wisdom. when I had mine out, that same day, Rem put off thanksgiving fireworks over at marshall's. they were the trippiest fireworks I've ever seen, and my ensuing hydrocodone dreams are the most colorful lazily intense dreams I've ever experienced.

The GRE wasn't so bad. The vocab section's a bitch though. Math's pretty easy -- it's stuff I learned in high school. But when you haven't taken a math class since high school...

I have recently realized that I will have to join you in the awful, awful process of standardized testing and applications yet again...I don't know why I'm so vehemently opposed to them, they didn't treat me so badly last time, but I have this near-retch response to thinking about them. Go figure.

The wisdom teeth process was maybe my favorite day in the world. I'd do it again if they wanted me to. I got free chapstick and they even gave me a stuffed animal. Not only that, but I woke up and I was still on some really great stuff and just happy for the rest of the day. Plus an excuse to sleep. And bitch. And get sympathy. And eat unlimited jello/ice cream/etc. (though that does get tiring). It was fun--I promise it's not as bad as you may have heard.

Also, major, major points if that really is an Avenue Q reference, cause it was a pretty phenomenal show. Probably the best one in existence that includes puppet sex.

AND, the 11th is my birthday. So.... :)
