And while she's three hundred degrees
Aug. 28th, 2005 10:59 pmHow's this for irony:
PARIS, France (Reuters) -- More journalists have been killed in Iraq since the war began in March 2003 than during the 20 years of conflict in Vietnam . . .
In other news, while Nicole has gone to Seattle for fun and games, Aspen and Barb arrived Friday night, ensuring much entertainment at home. Steph also came to dinner Friday, which was awesome. There are so many people I need to see more of . . . Rian and Amy, I am glaring pointedly in your direction. Went and saw The Brothers Grimm today, which was hilarious and definitely worth the five-fifty. I also got new pillowcases, so my poor mother can have hers back.
Here is my class schedule-to-be, for those of you who have forgotten:
HIST 401: Topics in Comparative History, Dott and Lerman. M 7.
HIST 385: Independent Study, Nourse (soon to be HIST 498: Honors Thesis, if all goes well).
GREK 205: Intermediate Ancient Greek, Vandiver. MTTH 11.
LAT 105: Elementary Latin, M. Burgess. MTTHF 9.
PHYS 101: How Things Work, Skorina. TWTH 10.
MUS 263B: Voice.
MUS 263C: Pipe Organ.
MUS 241: Chorale.
MUS 253: Accompaniment.
Oh, that's something. Any Whitties who read my lj: are you interested in singing madrigals at Renn Faire (and likely at other times as well)? No experience, training, or skill is required, only committment. You will get lots of praise and encouragement and Mary-baked-brownies . . .
