I went arching on Tuesday, and it was FUN. (Well, what would you call the intransitive verb form of archery?) I am teh suck, but since I haven't shot since junior high, I consider my performance quite satisfactory. And I will be better Friday.
Several of the profs I asked for Rhodes recommendations were very enthusiastic. Dana, for one, which I found peculiar (given that I'm pretty sure he hates me), but then, I brought him news of a former student whom he really liked. And he has trouble remembering who I am, anyway, so maybe he's currently confusing me with someone he doesn't hate. Cotts was EXTREMELY enthusiastic--and he *volunteered* to vet grad schools for me when I brought him the short list. One thing that really sunk in Tuesday--professors love to talk. I caused a wave of unproductivity that swept both Maxey and Olin, sparing none. (Except Schmitz, because he wasn't in his office. Always two steps ahead of me, Mr. Bond.)
I feel like a trend whore, having become addicted to both Sex and the City and Firefly. The funny! The clever dialogue! The good-looking men!
So I seem to have single-handedly started a Japanese navy livejournal craze. Go me.

Date: 2005-09-16 08:35 am (UTC)I am currently collecting cans in order to pay for my Serenity ticket. Yes, I am that poor. And further more, I am that nerdy.
