I had seven hours of rehearsal yesterday. And six today.
I am going to die.

On a more cheery note, everyone should come to the upper-class cabaret on Tuesday at 12:10. It will be awesome (if I don't pass out face-first on the keyboard).

And yes, I am listening to the Macarena. Suck it.

The cat is in the living room yowling because he's lost me again. Ah, the joys of a deaf kitty.
If anyone cares, here's my schedule. I really don't see the point of posting these in the spring; after all, they're irrelevant for another four months, by which time everyone will have forgotten anyway. But in case ya'll were just *dying* to know:

HIST 401: Topics in Comparative History, Dott and Lerman. M 7.
HIST 385: "Independent Study" (really my thesis), Nourse.
GREK 205: Intermediate Ancient Greek, Vandiver. MTTH 11.
LAT 105: Elementary Latin, M. Burgess. MTTHF 9.
PHYS 101: How Things Work, Skorina. TWTH 10.
MUS 263B: Voice.
MUS 263C: Pipe Organ.
MUS 241: Chorale.
MUS 253: Accompaniment.

Kill me now.

I was singing a madrigal in my sleep last night.

"My Bonny Lass She Smileth"

And I didn't have my part right.

Even in my sleep.

I need some codeine. Maybe then I won't remember my dreams.

I've been thinking, and if I survive the next year, grad school's gonna be a snap.

State quiz )

So I had to decide the course of my entire life today. And it turns out I suck at it. I'm feeling like Cinderella in Into the Woods: "Although how can you know who you are/Till you know what you want, which you don't?/So then, which do you pick:/Where you're safe out of sigh, and yourself/But where everything's wrong?/Or where everything's right/And you know that you'll never belong?"

So I came into the house today, and the living room light had been left on.
And I was, like, "Damnit!"
And then I thought: "Wait a minute."
I haven't had to turn off bathroom or kitchen or living room lights in a long time, or at least I don't remember doing so. I am not an easy person. I am crabby and inflexible and stubborn. But my housemates have done an amazing job of adjusting to me and my demands, which are often petty and unreasonable. Thanks, you guys! You rock!

In other news, I am slowly being driven insane by the demands of school and extracurriculars. I updated my resume last night, though, and it looks all spiffy because I've got about ten million more activities this year. Yay! I look busy! That's 'cos I AM! *crazy laughter*

I have not forgotten.
I am indeed constructing icons, slowly but surely.
In fact, I made two off the list this very weekend.
I will post them when I have 'net access on my laptop.
If anyone else wants to get on the bandwagon, feel free. It may take weeks/months/years/olympiads, but I will persevere. (Same provisos apply as before.)

Back to Walla Walla tomorrow!

Also funny: my little brother has to go to school, but I'm on vacation.

Back in Moscow.

Spent the past week watching 1,000,000 million movies. Including Just Married, upon which I spit in disgust. And Van Helsing, which was so bad it was wonderful. Seriously, after about ten minutes we realized that it would contain every single monster movie cliche ever. Brooding Byronic hero facing own inner demons? Check. Religious mumbo-jumbo? Check. Mysterious beauty with a past? Check. Creepy castle? Check. Transylvania? Check. The list goes on.

Cold. So very, very cold.

Oh, this is definitely true. Hooray for stupid memes.

GAR! Why can't I concentrate? I can do eight pages in 40 hours, easy. I can do eight pages in *10* hours, easy. So why can't I write for shit tonight?

Ewwww. The water in my Nalgene tastes like the dentist's office.

Hooray! I can answer loaded yes or no questions!

You scored as Christianity. Your views are most similar to those of Christianity. Do more research on Christianity and possibly consider being baptized and accepting Jesus, if you aren't already Christian.

Christianity is the second of the Abrahamic faiths; it follows Judaism and is followed by Islam. It differs in its belief of Jesus, as not a prophet nor historical figure, but as God in human form. The Holy Trinity is the concept that God takes three forms: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost (sometimes called Holy Spirit).

So I sent this really random e-mail to some people at about 2 last night, and now they all think I'm crazy. And these were new people, too. Damn. Guess I'll just have to come clean.

Ruty said she was just a grumpX0r, and that, while I am indeed the worst person in the world, she didn't mean to *say* so.

And there is now a Julia/Teri in the Mikado! So much excitement. It is going to be such a fun show.

Must . . . write . . . history . . . paper . . .

This has been a long week. Far too long. Ugh. Mary wants out.
On the plus side, it is now the weekend, which means sleep. And Dana was disturbingly nice in Greek today.

Yay! Fun with iTunes! )

I stumbled across this link today: Gizoogle

And I have produced this, a thing of beauty: Whitman College has received a $100,000 grizzant from tha Andrew W fo' rizeal Mellon Foundation

Go forth, my children. Spread the word of diversity. Student listserv, here I come!

You are

Snicker snicker snicker.

T-Sports was fun tonight. I'd be feeling some Pullman love, except Pullman can eat me and I hate WSU. So grungy. And the campus is too damn big! It can take, like, ten minutes to walk to something there. Or even more than ten!

I'm in a strange mood. I realllllllly want to get drunk, except that would be the worst idea ever. Maybe next weekend.

Idiot quiz that my brother sent me:
http://www.comclub.org/lj/fsquiz.php
You see, I'm supposed to "send it to seven people or your wish won't come true OMGWTFLMAOBBQ!!11111" I figure, way more than seven people read my lj, and I can thus fulfill my quiz duty (and get my secret wish!) without being evil and spamming people.
After all, you only read this 'cos you want to, right? Right.
My pocketbook is currently at war with my lust for World of Warcraft. If I got WoW, of course, I would never go to class again. But I'd have so much *fun* flunking out . . .
Mmmmm . . . cold pizza . . . .
fellmama: (daria)
Argh. I have about 150 pages of reading to do before Tuesday, all of it for one class. Not to mention the 40-odd for Wednesday. And I don't even *have* reading for U.S. history this week, 'cos I have a paper due Wednesday. Stupid major. *pouts*
Also, I really, really hate the Mendelssohn variations I'm playing. This is the first time I've actually detested putting fingers to keys with Dr. Scott as my prof, and it feels strange and icky. I'm supposed to play this sucker at a master class with some bigwig from Eastman on Friday, and I just don't want to. It will be humiliating, because I don't play the piece well, and I don't play it well because I hate it, and I hate it partly because I don't play it well. The fatal circle of musicianship.
Whine whine whine. Whine some more. Ugh. Maybe I'll just go to bed.
Hee. The little frowny lemon is so cute.

Valentine's Day.
This is the first good Valentine's Day I've had in at least three years. Freshman year, I was in the throes of a devastating crush on YKW. In retrospect, if he didn't figure it out then, he's the most oblivious person alive. Last year . . . Let's just say that everyone's timing was a little off last year and leave it at that. Ironic that one of the nicest things someone's ever done for me ended up being such a mess, eh?
Whereas today . . . Today, I went to class, which was boring but tolerable. Schmitz did give me a B on a paper, though, but I figure since I completely ignored half his directions, that's pretty much breaking even. I auditioned for Dianne's lunchbox. It was the most fun I've ever had at an audition--my sides were literally aching from laughing so much. Tyler and Andrew are hilarious. And I got a part, yay! I'm the chorus leader, which means I get to say "Looms of Ida" in a spooky-ass voice. Then Theater Sports was good. So today was just a good, busy day. So men can keep on being the scum they are (only joking!)--for now, I'm happy the way I am.
